The author, Ibn Kathir, renowned for his profound understanding of the teachings of Muhammad (pbuh) and the Qur'an, meticulously crafted these stories. As a qadi, master scholar of history, muhaddith, and mufassir, Ibn Kathir's work is highly respected. He penned the well-known commentary on the Qur'an named Tafsir al-Qur'an al-'Adhim, where he beautifully correlated Hadith and sayings of the sahaba with verses of the Qur'an to offer interpretations. Tafsir Ibn Kathir holds a significant position in the Muslim and Islamic world as one of the most referenced commentaries on the Qur'an today.
